'Saucy' is a proprietary-name branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) product marketed for recovery, hydration, and 'pushing through' fatigue. BCAAs are a legitimate supplement category — the effective ratio is 2:1:1 (leucine:isoleucine:valine), with total-serving doses of 5-10 g typical, and leucine as the primary anabolic driver at 2.5-3 g per serving. But two problems drop this into Rejected. (1) The reviewed description does not disclose per-BCAA milligrams — a proprietary-blend concern where the leucine share cannot be verified. (2) Recent evidence (Wolfe 2017, Trommelen 2016) shows that in well-fed omnivores consuming adequate protein (0.8-1.6 g/kg/day), added BCAAs offer minimal ergogenic or muscle-protein-synthesis benefit above what dietary protein already provides — the category is losing its evidence base for general trainees.
