Fruiting-body Ganoderma lucidum extract sold as an adaptogen/vitality tonic. Reishi has centuries of traditional use in East Asian medicine and a moderate modern evidence base — mostly small trials on immune-modulation, sleep quality, and fatigue in cancer supportive care. Cochrane reviews for reishi in cancer have concluded that evidence is suggestive of quality-of-life benefit but not definitive for oncologic outcomes. Fruiting-body sourcing is the correct signal (mycelium-on-grain reishi is largely starch). The formulation is undermined by (a) no disclosed extract ratio, (b) no beta-glucan or triterpene percentage, and (c) no per-lot COA. 'Longevity' as a marketing benefit is a stretch — no human trial has ever demonstrated lifespan extension from any supplement. Mid-Standard is fair.
