NusaPure African Mango 10:1 Extract at 500 mg per capsule uses a non-branded generic Irvingia gabonensis extract. The published weight-loss evidence for African mango comes almost exclusively from studies using the IGOB131 branded extract at 150 mg twice daily (Ngondi 2005, Ngondi 2009, Oben 2008) — a specific standardized extract from a specific Cameroonian source. Concerns exist about the reproducibility of the Ngondi results: subsequent independent trials (Judd 2019, Onakpoya 2013 Cochrane-style review) have found the evidence base underpowered and single-source-dependent, and the American Society for Nutrition Journal of Nutrition raised concerns about IGOB131 study methodology. Generic 10:1 African mango extract (implying 5 g raw seed equivalent per 500 mg dose) does not automatically inherit whatever benefit IGOB131 may have and cannot be matched to any dose-response curve.
