Nature's Truth is a mid-tier US mass-retail supplement brand (Piping Rock-affiliated, NY). DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) at 25mg is a prohormone that converts to both testosterone and estrogens in the body. DHEA is a schedule III controlled substance in Canada and banned by WADA/NCAA/most sports federations. The evidence for DHEA supplementation is genuinely mixed: some benefit in adrenal insufficiency (Arlt 1999) and postmenopausal women with low libido and low DHEA-S (Genazzani 2011), but no consistent benefit for general 'anti-aging' or 'vitality' in healthy adults with normal DHEA. Safety concerns include acne, hair loss, mood changes, elevated liver enzymes, and — importantly — theoretical increase in hormone-sensitive cancer risk (breast, prostate, ovarian).
