Metabolic Nutrition ISO PWDR is a whey protein isolate with a digestive-enzyme coating and 'ultra-microfiltration' processing. The base protein — whey isolate — is a straightforward, well-supported source at roughly 25 g/scoop with strong RCT support for post-workout muscle-protein-synthesis effects. The transparency concerns are around the enzyme coating and the exact isolate source: Metabolic Nutrition discloses the total protein per serving but the proprietary enzyme complex is not fully broken down by ingredient dose, and there is no published third-party testing regime comparable to NutraBio's. Digestive enzymes added to whey isolate have thin RCT support — most healthy adults produce adequate proteases for a 25 g scoop, and the added marketing benefit is small. Formulation is fine, safety is fine (no red flags), but transparency and manufacturing documentation sit noticeably below best-in-class. A defensible Standard-tier isolate for someone who prefers the flavor profile, but a NutraBio or Ghost isolate offers more transparency at similar price points.
The Vyvata score's Evidence dimension measures the quality of published RCT support for a product's active ingredients at the label dose. Our source hierarchy: double-blind RCTs in MEDLINE-indexed journals > single-blind RCTs > open-label trials > observational studies > mechanism papers > N=1 case studies (anecdotes). Predatory journals and manufacturer-authored studies without independent replication are weighted down.
Product-specific evidence citations for this item are embedded in the analysis text on the "Analysis" tab. For the full framework and evidence hierarchy, see the methodology page.

Every VSF-related metafield surfaced verbatim. Nothing hidden. If you spot data that looks wrong, let us know.
Every score is set from the published rubric, audit-logged, and rescored whenever new evidence emerges (published trials, updated labels, third-party testing releases). Every vendor is scored on the same criteria — no pay-to-play. See our editorial-independence disclosure for the full policy, including brands with an editorial relationship to this site.
