He Shou Wu Tincture is single-ingredient liquid tincture He Shou Wu (Fo-Ti) (Polygonum multiflorum). He Shou Wu is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for kidney/liver tonic and, in modern marketing, for hair-graying claims. Traditionally used in prepared form (jiu zhi), not raw. No convincing RCT evidence for hair or anti-aging claims. IMPORTANT: Documented hepatotoxicity — multiple case reports and case series (Byeon 2019 review) of acute liver injury requiring hospitalization, sometimes fatal. Health Canada and Australia have issued warnings. Avoid. Traditional use plus documented safety concerns. Garden Organics is a small US-based single-ingredient herbal line; every product is one botanical in capsule or tincture form (no proprietary blends). Third-party COAs, per-lot heavy-metal/microbial data, and specific standardization percentages are not publicly disclosed at the product level, which is a real transparency gap despite the honest single-ingredient formatting.
