Bugleweed is used in European folk medicine for mild hyperthyroid symptoms (Graves-related palpitations). Rosmarinic acid derivatives inhibit thyroid-stimulating antibody binding in vitro. Small German trials (Auf'mkolk 1984) suggest anti-thyroid activity. Modern rigorous trials are lacking. Real anti-thyroid activity — do not use with hypothyroidism or on thyroid hormone replacement. Avoid in pregnancy. Preliminary evidence but documented safety concern lowers the score. Garden Organics is a small US-based single-ingredient herbal line; every product is one botanical in capsule or tincture form (no proprietary blends).
