ageLOC Meta is Nu Skin's flagship 'ageLOC youth gene cluster' metabolic-support supplement, marketed as targeting the body's 'meta' (metabolic) aging pathways with a proprietary blend positioned as supporting adiponectin, healthy blood sugar, and healthy body composition. Underlying issue: the 'ageLOC' marketing framework — 'youth gene clusters' allegedly targeted by proprietary blends — is a marketing construct that exceeds published evidence. Nu Skin has published some gene-expression work (typically in cell culture or short-term human samples) showing that their extracts modulate expression of various genes, but the leap from 'modulates gene expression in vitro' to 'targets youth gene clusters and reverses metabolic aging' is a substantial evidentiary jump not supported by the RCT literature. Individual ingredients in the Meta formula may be defensible (adiponectin-modulating botanicals have some Grade C evidence), but the branding framework itself is unverified.
