Thavage is the flagship pre-workout in Raw Nutrition's CBUM Series (co-developed with 5x Mr. Olympia Chris Bumstead) and is one of the fully-disclosed high-stimulant formulas in the athlete-signature segment. The full label discloses individual doses: 8 g L-citrulline (above the 6-8 g clinical range for pump/endurance — genuinely well-dosed), 3.2 g beta-alanine (hits the ISSN position-stand dose for the tingle and chronic carnosine loading), 2.5 g betaine anhydrous (in the 2.5 g clinical range for power output; Cholewa 2013), 1 g L-tyrosine (below the 2-3 g clinical range for stress-cognition endpoints), 300 mg alpha-GPC 50% (yields ~150 mg alpha-GPC — well below the 600 mg cognitive dose), and a stimulant stack of ~275 mg caffeine anhydrous plus dicaffeine malate (Infinergy) — putting effective caffeine at ~325-340 mg per scoop. Formulation quality is genuinely above the market median for the category, and the athlete-brand co-development doesn't come at the cost of scientific rigor on citrulline, beta-alanine, and betaine. Weaknesses: alpha-GPC and tyrosine are under-dosed for their cognitive-effect ranges (present at what look like label-decoration doses); the ~330 mg total caffeine load is at the upper end for a single scoop; no third-party sport certification (Informed Sport / NSF) on this SKU. Manufactured in cGMP-registered US facility. Would move to Verified 70+ with Informed Sport certification, clinically-dosed alpha-GPC (600 mg) and tyrosine (2 g), and published per-lot COAs.
The Vyvata score's Evidence dimension measures the quality of published RCT support for a product's active ingredients at the label dose. Our source hierarchy: double-blind RCTs in MEDLINE-indexed journals > single-blind RCTs > open-label trials > observational studies > mechanism papers > N=1 case studies (anecdotes). Predatory journals and manufacturer-authored studies without independent replication are weighted down.
Product-specific evidence citations for this item are embedded in the analysis text on the "Analysis" tab. For the full framework and evidence hierarchy, see the methodology page.

The Vyvata score measures product integrity against a published rubric, not customer sentiment. Vyvata does not aggregate, republish, or license third-party reviews — the links below open search pages on their respective platforms.
Every VSF-related metafield surfaced verbatim. Nothing hidden. If you spot data that looks wrong, let us know.
Every score is set from the published rubric, audit-logged, and rescored whenever new evidence emerges (published trials, updated labels, third-party testing releases). Every vendor is scored on the same criteria — no pay-to-play. See our editorial-independence disclosure for the full policy, including brands with an editorial relationship to this site.
