The product's stated mechanism is dampening the postprandial glucose spike from both starches and simple sugars — this is a legitimate metabolic target and matches the mechanism of well-studied ingredients like white kidney bean extract (Phaseolus vulgaris alpha-amylase inhibitor, Barrett & Udani 2011 systematic review), berberine (Yin 2008), and mulberry-leaf 1-deoxynojirimycin (Kimura 2007). Whether M-Smart delivers on that mechanism depends on which specific ingredients and doses Nu Skin has put in the stick pack, and on whether those doses match the studied ranges.
