Chamomile has one of the better-documented modern evidence bases among common herbal supplements: Amsterdam 2009 (J Clin Psychopharmacol) tested standardized chamomile extract at 220-1100 mg/day in 57 adults with generalized anxiety disorder for 8 weeks and showed significant Hamilton Anxiety Rating reduction vs placebo; Amsterdam 2016 confirmed at 500 mg 3x daily. Chang 2016 in elderly showed sleep quality improvement. Traditional-use precedent for GI upset (spasmolytic) is well-established. Chamomile is extensively used as a food-form tea globally, giving very strong safety precedent. Tincture format allows dose titration; per-dropperful equivalent to trial doses is not disclosed.
