Are these at-home tests as accurate as lab tests?
Depends on the test. Blood-spot collection can match venipuncture for many analytes (vitamin D, HbA1c) but not all. Genetic tests using saliva match clinical-grade for the SNPs they screen. Food-sensitivity IgG panels have limited clinical validity regardless of collection method. The Evidence dimension covers this per-test.
Do I need a doctor to interpret at-home test results?
For screening panels (nutrient levels, hormone levels) many reputable services include an ordering physician and a review of your results.
